TOD is a planning approach that integrates land use and transportation systems to create sustainable and affordable environments. The research employs both qualitative and quantitative methods, utilizing surveys, interviews, and document analysis related to the socio-economic conditions and infrastructure of the area. The findings indicate that the Blitar Station area has significant potential for TOD development, including good accessibility to public transportation and available vacant land for utilization. However, challenges include a lack of policy support, inadequate infrastructure, and difficulties in community participation. This study recommends several strategic solutions to optimize TOD development in the Blitar Station area, such as enhancing collaboration among stakeholders, developing pedestrian-friendly supporting infrastructure, and raising public awareness about the benefits of TOD. TOD adalah pendekatan perencanaan yang mengintegrasikan penggunaan lahan dan sistem transportasi untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang berkelanjutan dan terjangkau. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dan kuantitatif, melalui survei, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen terkait kondisi sosial-ekonomi serta infrastruktur kawasan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kawasan Stasiun Blitar memiliki potensi signifikan untuk pengembangan TOD, seperti aksesibilitas yang baik terhadap transportasi publik dan adanya lahan kosong yang dapat dimanfaatkan. Namun, kendala yang dihadapi meliputi kurangnya dukungan kebijakan, infrastruktur yang belum memadai, dan tantangan dalam partisipasi masyarakat. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan beberapa solusi strategis untuk mengoptimalkan pengembangan TOD di kawasan Stasiun Blitar, antara lain peningkatan kolaborasi antara pemangku kepentingan, pengembangan infrastruktur pendukung yang ramah pejalan kaki, serta sosialisasi kepada masyarakat mengenai manfaat TOD. Hardiyatmo's research (2015) shows that this system is able to increase the bearing capacity of the soil by up to 35% through optimizing the stiffness of the foundation plate so that it is suitable for application in infrastructure projects on problematic soil. Meanwhile, Prakoso and Kumara (2018) revealed that the chicken claw foundation design can reduce the earthquake response of multi-storey buildings by up to 20% and increase construction cost efficiency by 15% compared to conventional methods. Material innovation is also an important factor, as found by Kusuma and Hidayat (2020) who show that the use of high quality concrete and geotextiles is able to optimize bearing capacity and withstand deformation due to earthquakes up to 25% better than standard materials. Penelitian Hardiyatmo (2015) menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini mampu meningkatkan daya dukung tanah hingga 35% melalui optimalisasi kekakuan pelat pondasi sehingga cocok diterapkan pada proyek infrastruktur pada tanah bermasalah. Sedangkan Prakoso dan Kumara (2018) mengungkapkan bahwa desain pondasi cakar ayam dapat menurunkan respon gempa gedung bertingkat hingga 20% dan meningkatkan efisiensi biaya konstruksi sebesar 15% dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional. Inovasi material juga menjadi faktor penting, seperti yang ditemukan oleh Kusuma dan Hidayat (2020) yang menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan beton dan geotekstil berkualitas tinggi mampu mengoptimalkan daya dukung dan menahan deformasi akibat gempa hingga 25% lebih baik dibandingkan material standar. Liquefaction is a geotechnical phenomenon that occurs when fine-grained soil such as water-saturated sand loses its strength and stiffness due to dynamic loading, so that the behavior of the previously solid soil becomes liquid, for example during an earthquake. Pile foundations are often used as a mitigation method to reduce the risk of liquefaction. This study aims to analyze the effect of pile foundations in reducimg the risk of liquwfaction. The study employs both numerical modeling and field testing to analyze the load distribution mechanisms and settlement characteristics. Using finite element analysis and full-scale load tests, the research examines pile group efficiencies at spacings ranging from 2.5D to 4D, where D represents pile diameter. Results indicate that pile spacing significantly influences group behavior, with optimal efficiency achieved at 3.5D spacing. The study provides crucial insights for foundation design optimization in challenging soil conditions. Studi ini menggunakan pemodelan numerik dan pengujian lapangan untuk menganalisis mekanisme distribusi beban dan karakteristik penurunan. Melalui analisis elemen hingga dan uji pembebanan skala penuh, penelitian ini meneliti efisiensi grup tiang pada jarak 2,5D hingga 4D, dimana D adalah diameter tiang. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa jarak antar tiang secara signifikan mempengaruhi perilaku grup, dengan efisiensi optimal dicapai pada jarak 3,5D. Studi ini memberikan wawasan penting untuk optimasi desain pondasi dalam kondisi tanah yang menantang. This study aims to analyze the performance of base separation in damping earthquake forces received by the upper structure. Literature studies were conducted by referring to various previous studies showing that this technology can dampen the structural response to ground vibrations, extend the vibration period, and increase the overall stability of the building. The analysis was carried out by modeling the base separation system using simulation software to study its effect on base shear forces and structural cooling. The simulation results show that base separation can dampen base shear forces by up to 58% compared to conventional structures without isolation. This technology also shows advantages in maintaining structural integrity during major earthquakes. These findings are expected to be a reference for building design to improve the safety and resilience of building structures in earthquake-prone areas.</em></p> <p><em>&nbsp;</em><strong><em>Keywords: </em></strong><em>base isolation, earthquake mitigation, foundation design, base shear force, earthquake resistant building</em></p> <p><em>&nbsp;</em><strong>Abstrak</strong></p> <p>Pemanfaatan <em>base isolation</em> sebagai teknologi mitigasi gempa bumi menjadi solusi inovatif dalam perancangan pondasi bangunan tahan gempa, terutama pada daerah dengan aktivitas seismik tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kinerja <em>base isolation</em> dalam meredam gaya gempa yang diterima oleh struktur atas. Studi literatur dilakukan dengan mengacu pada berbagai penelitian terdahulu yang menunjukkan bahwa teknologi ini dapat meredam respon struktur terhadap getaran tanah, memperpanjang periode getaran, dan meningkatkan stabilitas bangunan secara keseluruhan. Analisis dilakukan dengan memodelkan sistem <em>base isolation</em> menggunakan perangkat lunak simulasi untuk mempelajari pengaruhnya terhadap gaya geser dasar dan deformasi struktur. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa base separation mampu meredam gaya geser dasar hingga 58% dibandingkan dengan struktur konvensional tanpa isolasi. Teknologi ini juga menunjukkan keunggulan dalam menjaga keutuhan struktur saat terjadi gempa besar. In earthquake-prone areas, choosing the type of foundation is crucial to ensure building stability. This research compares the performance of shallow foundations and deep foundations based on literature studies. The results show that deep foundations are superior in dealing with dynamic loads due to earthquakes because of their ability to distribute loads to deeper and more stable soil layers. However, shallow foundations can still be used in stable soil conditions with light structural loads. Di daerah rawan gempa, pemilihan jenis pondasi menjadi krusial untuk menjamin stabilitas bangunan. Penelitian ini membandingkan kinerja pondasi dangkal dan pondasi dalam berdasarkan studi pustaka. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pondasi dalam lebih unggul dalam menghadapi beban dinamis akibat gempa karena kemampuannya menyalurkan beban ke lapisan tanah yang lebih dalam dan stabil. Namun, pondasi dangkal tetap dapat digunakan pada kondisi tanah yang stabil dengan beban struktur yang ringan.
