The problem is addressed through ongoing family planning program (KB) treatment aimed at lowering the rate of population increase (BKKBN. 2018). The emergence of negative attitudes toward contraception is one of the contraceptive concerns in society. People are sometimes afraid to use contraception methods due to a variety of rumors in the neighborhood. Objective of the research: To demonstrate that the community is reluctant to adopt contraceptive methods in family planning. To prove the mother's perception of program planning (FP) in the Tanjungsari Subdistrict of the Boyolangu village with the use of contraception.

The study used a proportionate random sample technique and a time cross-sectional approach, both of which are observational analytical study methods. The study, which was carried out between March 11 and April 17, 2024, yielded a sample size of 89 respondents. Statistical test chisquare test was used in the study, and it was discovered that there is a relationship between maternal perception of program planning (FP) and contraceptive usage (p: 0. 01).

The choice of which contraceptive selection tool to employ depends on the respondent's knowledge of how the respondent's usage of contraception will be affected by the response and behavior. Respondents may think that using contraception is quick, convenient, and cost-effective, which may lead them to make that decision.
Siti Suciati Copyright (c) https://journal.unita.ac.id/index.php/juwita/article/view/1697 Wed, 25 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0700 A ATTITUDE OF PRIMIGRAVIDA MOTHERS IN THE THIRD TRIMESTER ABOUT NEEDS BASICS DURING CHILDBIRTH https://journal.unita.ac.id/index.php/juwita/article/view/1698
The basic needs of childbirth are very important to know by pregnant women. This is related to the mother's readiness to face the delivery process and the birth of her baby later. There are many incidents of pregnant women not having their basic needs met so that unwanted things happen, namely emergencies both in the mother and in the baby. Fulfilling basic needs during childbirth can reduce AKI and AKB. The purpose of the study was to find out the attitude of primigravida mothers in the third trimester regarding basic needs during childbirth.

A type of observational research with a descriptive design. In Tulungagung, the HIV rate among waria is relatively high, prompting them to establish the Aprikot (Apresiasi Waria Kota Tulungagung) association, which has 55 members, to raise awareness of early detection and HIV prevention. This research analyzes HIV prevention efforts using the Health Belief Model (HBM), which focuses on individuals' beliefs about the threat of HIV and the benefits of prevention in changing behavior.

This qualitative research with a descriptive phenomenological approach was conducted at Base Came Aprikot Tulungagung from April 23 to June 17, 2024. The research informants include HIV-positive and HIV-negative waria, sex workers (PSK), waria with steady partners, Aprikot members, Cesmid NGOs, KPAD Tulungagung program managers, health workers, and the Tulungagung Health Office. The sampling technique used was Maximum Variation Sampling, with data collection through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using an interactive model to understand efforts in early detection and HIV/AIDS prevention among transgender women.

Five informants, transgender women working as sex workers and living with HIV, as well as one informant who owns a beauty salon and has a steady partner, show a positive attitude toward early detection and HIV prevention. They regularly participate in HIV tests held by the community every three months. The norms within the Aprikot community strongly influence members, encouraging them to follow the rules and commit to HIV prevention efforts.

To encourage waria to engage in early detection and HIV/AIDS prevention efforts, the involvement of the government, through the Health Office, is necessary to raise awareness among the clients of waria sex workers about using condoms and regularly conducting STI tests to prevent complications or opportunistic infections
Wida Rahma Arwiyantasari Copyright (c) https://journal.unita.ac.id/index.php/juwita/article/view/1699 Wed, 25 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0700 A MOTIVATION OF MOTHERS WITH TODDLERS AGED 1-5 YEARS REGARDING THE INITIAL MANAGEMENT OF DIARRHEA https://journal.unita.ac.id/index.php/juwita/article/view/1703
There is still a high rate of illness and death due to diarrhea in infants and children because the immune system of children under five is more susceptible to disease, so it is necessary to motivate mothers of toddlers about the initial treatment of diarrhea so that the condition of children under five does not get worse if the initial treatment of diarrhea is carried out. An important period in children's growth and development is the toddler period, especially the age of 3-5 years. Because during this period it is basic growth that will later affect and determine the next development of children. During this time, the growth of language, motor, emotions and intelligence is very fast. So that every abnormality/deviation, no matter how small, if not detected and handled properly, will reduce the quality of Human Resources (HR).

The research was conducted in June 2021 at the Posyandu of Wates Village, Tulungagung Campurdarat District. A type of descriptive research with variables describing the emotional development of children aged 3-5 years. The population is 220 people with the Accidentally Sampling sampling technique. The number of respondents was 128. Data collection using a checklist, then data analysis is carried out.

The results of the study found that the emotional development of children aged 3-5 years was mostly from normal respondents, namely as many as 85 respondents (66.41%), while children aged 3-5 years almost half of the respondents had emotional development disorders, namely as many as 43 respondents (33.59%).

The difference between normal children and children with emotional development disorders is caused by the role of the mother who is too excessive or lacking, so that errors in educating, in addition to the home atmosphere and the number of family members are also factors that cause children to experience emotional development disorders.
Ernawati Tri Handayani Copyright (c) https://journal.unita.ac.id/index.php/juwita/article/view/1704 Fri, 27 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0700 The PERCEPTION OF PRIMIPARA POSTPARTUM MOTHERS REGARDING PERINEAL SUTURE WOUND CARE https://journal.unita.ac.id/index.php/juwita/article/view/1710
The discomfort experienced during the postpartum period arises from perineal injuries resulting from episiotomy scars or lacerations sustained during childbirth. Maternal mortality in the postpartum phase is often attributed to infections of the perineal suture wound. Bufas posits that without proper treatment for the genital pronged suture wound, the stitches may heal independently, despite awareness of the necessary care. He believes that cleaning the perineal suture wound poses risks, as it may exacerbate inflammation and necessitate restitching of the wound.

Observational research of a descriptive nature was conducted. The study focused on primipara postpartum mothers who experienced perineal laceration injuries at PMB Winarti, located in the Sumbergempol District of Tulungagung Regency, during the period from October 1 to October 31, 2024. A total of 20 respondents were selected using accidental sampling techniques. A questionnaire employing a Likert scale served as the measurement tool, with data processed and presented in percentage form.

The findings revealed that among the 20 respondents, the majority held a positive perception regarding the treatment of perineal suture wounds, with 14 respondents (70%) expressing this view. A person's perception is influenced by various factors, including personal experiences, knowledge, and the information they have acquired.
Indah Rohmawati Copyright (c) https://journal.unita.ac.id/index.php/juwita/article/view/1710 Tue, 22 Jul 2025 00:00:00 +0700
