Roads are areas for traffic, both vehicles and people. Unfortunately, the large number of pedestrians and motorcyclists makes the highway a dangerous area and can claim lives if you are not careful when walking or driving. To minimize the risk of traffic accidents, the highway is made as smooth as possible by paving. The paving of the highway itself is done with various materials. Paving is an important component of this road structure because it functions as a former road surface for vehicles to pass. One example of a paving method on the road is asphalt. Asphalt is the main material used in road paving.

Abstrak
Jalan merupakan tempat bagi kendaraan dan pejalan kaki untuk melintas. Namun, tingginya jumlah pengguna jalan, baik pejalan kaki maupun pengendara, menjadikan jalan raya sebagai area yang rawan bahaya dan berpotensi mengancam nyawa jika tidak digunakan dengan hati-hati. Guna mengurangi risiko kecelakaan lalu lintas, jalan raya dirancang sehalus mungkin melalui proses pengerasan. Proses pengerasan ini menggunakan berbagai jenis metode. Perkerasan adalah komponen penting dari struktur jalan ini karena berfungsi sebagai pembentuk permukaan jalan untuk kendaraan berlalu-lalang. Salah satu contoh metode perkerasan pada jalan adalah aspal. Aspal adalah bahan utama yang digunakan dalam perkerasan jalan.
