Background: The postpartum family planning program is a
strategic intervention to reduce birth rates and improve maternal
and infant health by providing opportunities to space pregnancies.
However, the coverage of postpartum family planning in Indonesia
remains relatively low, influenced by mothers' knowledge and
husbands' support. Objective: To determine the relationship
between husbands' support and mothers' level of knowledge on
participation in the postpartum family planning program in Blendis
Village, Gondang District, Tulungagung Regency in 2025.
Method: This study was an analytical correlational study with
a cross-sectional approach. The sample was taken using a purposive
sampling technique consisting of 97 postpartum mothers who met
the inclusion criteria. Data collection used a structured
questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data
analysis used the Chi-Square test with a significance level of *p* <
0.05.
Results: The results showed a significant relationship between
mothers' level of knowledge and participation in postpartum family
planning (p-value < 0.001) and a significant relationship between
husbands' support and participation in postpartum family planning
(p-value < 0.001). The highest proportion of participation was
found in the group with good knowledge and husband's support
(75.0%), while the lowest was in the group with poor knowledge
and no husband's support (8.3%).
Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between
husbands' support and mothers' level of knowledge on participation
in the postpartum family planning program.
