Abstract

Variabel independen keaktifan senam hamil, variabel dependen kejadian kram kaki.

ABSTRACT
Many pregnant women do not understand about leg cramps so that if they occur they will feel anxious and confused. One of the ways to prevent leg cramps is by walking diligently and doing pregnancy exercises. The incidence of leg cramps in BPM Johana Widijati, Amd.Keb, there were 2 (40%) TM II pregnant women experiencing leg cramps and 3 (60%) TM III pregnant women experiencing leg cramps. Analytical research design with a cross-sectional approach. The independent variable was pregnancy exercise, the dependent variable was the incidence of leg cramps. The population of all pregnant women in the second and third trimesters in October-November 2018 was 30 pregnant women. The sampling technique used total sampling with a sample of 30 people. Data analysis using Spearman rho test. The results of the study most of the respondents, 19 (63.33%) were not active in doing pregnancy exercises, and most of the respondents 19 (63.33%) experienced leg cramps. The Spearman rho statistical test found that ρ value = 0,000 was smaller than the value of α = 0.05 (0,000 <0.05) so that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, meaning that there was a relationship between active pregnancy exercise and the incidence of leg cramps in pregnant women in the second and third trimesters. with the direction of a positive relationship with a strong degree of closeness. Pregnancy exercise can reduce muscle tension that occurs during pregnancy so that the muscles become flexible and the possibility of leg cramps is reduced. Pregnant women are expected to increase the activity of pregnancy exercise for the health and smoothness of their pregnancy.
